  • Opens with a declarative statement — never a question
  • Treats the reader as intelligent
  • Uses data before opinion — but opinion after data is mandatory
  • Ends sections with a verdict, not a summary
  • Uses specificity over generality in every sentence
Never
  • No exclamation points. Ever.
  • No "iconic," "revolutionary," "game-changing"
  • No hedging in conclusions
  • No passive construction where active works
  • No listicles — even data is written in prose
